About the Salisbury Hospice
At Salisbury Hospice, we understand the profound impact of a progressive, life-limiting illness—not only for those diagnosed but for their families and loved ones.
We offer our patients compassionate, palliative and end of life care, providing comfort, and guidance at every step of their illness. Our services extend not only to patients but also to their family, caregivers, and friends, offering the support they need to navigate this difficult time.
All of our specialised services are provided at no cost to those in need. Our ability to continue this vital work relies heavily on the generosity of our community through donations and fundraising efforts.
Salisbury Hospice offers a comprehensive range of services to support individuals with life-limiting conditions and their families. The Hospice includes a 10-bed specialist inpatient unit, providing expert care in a comfortable and supportive environment. A Community Specialist Palliative Care Team works to deliver personalised care to patients in their homes, while the Hospital Specialist Palliative Care Team provides support to patients within Salisbury District Hospital. The Therapy Team ensures that patients receive tailored therapies to enhance their quality of life. The Peter Gillam Support Centre offers nurse-led day services designed to provide additional care and social support. For those wishing to remain at home, the Hospice at Home service delivers compassionate care directly to patients in their own surroundings. Salisbury Hospice also offers a dedicated Family Support Team and Bereavement Service to help loved ones navigate the emotional challenges they face. Additionally, the Hospice provides an Education Service to share expertise and advance the understanding of palliative care. Complementary therapies are also available to both patients and their families to enhance physical and emotional well-being, reflecting the hospice’s commitment to holistic care.
