Starting from Saturday, September 23rd, you’ll have the opportunity to view and purchase the remarkable artwork of Pamela Coward at the First View Gallery in Spread Eagle Courtyard, Stourhead. Pamela’s passion for art dates back to her school days, where her talent earned her recognition with a national competition prize at the age of 13. However, as she raised her children, her artistic pursuits took a backseat.

 It wasn’t until a local art group was established that Pamela rekindled her creative journey. Initially drawn to the idea of creating delicate and atmospheric watercolours, she soon discovered that her true artistic inclination leaned towards a more bold and expressive approach. Today, she works with various mediums, including oil, acrylic, and collage. Her primary sources of inspiration are the scenic landscapes that surround her, which she interprets through abstract or semi-abstract styles, emphasizing patterns and colours in her compositions. Join us on the 23^rd September to experience her art and purchase some of her works, where all proceeds will be going to Salisbury Hospice Charity.
