11.30am-5pm
Admission: Adults £5, Children £1
With the sad news of the death of Her Majesty The Queen, and in honour of her seven decades of service and dedication to charitable causes, our Open Garden at Hatch House on Saturday 10th September will go ahead as planned. In times such as these, we feel it best to bring the community together and hope you will join us tomorrow.
We are delighted that Sir Henry and Lady Rumbold will once again host the hugely popular annual Open Garden at Hatch House on Saturday 10th September, from 11.30am-5 pm.
Visitors can enjoy tea and cake, an upmarket burger or hotdog, whilst admiring the glorious views across the Vale of Wardour, as well as a spot of bargain hunting at a variety of stalls including; books,, plants, jewellery, gifts and collectables, jumble, toys and cakes. Of course not forgetting Lady Rumbold & Mrs Vernon’s famous clothes stall, where you can find a variety of second hand, designer and vintage clothes at ultra-cheap prices. This event is one that can be enjoyed by all the family, be sure to get the date in your diary.
From humble beginnings, the Open Garden has built in popularity over the last ten years and now draws people from far and wide, who relish the opportunity to spend an afternoon in an idyllic setting, walking through the exquisite 17th century walled Dutch garden which faces the house’s theatrical façade. In the best year, more than £21,000 had been raised for the hospice.
We would like to thank Lady Rumbold and Elspeth for the many hours they spend sourcing, sorting and organising the numerous items of clothes, their wonderful team of “Hatch House” helpers who devote their time and energy and of course our fabulous Tisbury Fundraising Committee who work so hard to ensure this day is always such a resounding success.
