The annual Business Excellence Awards was hosted by the Salisbury and District Chamber of Commerce and the Salisbury Business Improvement District held on Friday 22 March, at The Stones Hotel, High Post.
The gala ceremony brought together a multitude of local businesses and organisations, creating a vibrant atmosphere filled with excitement as attendees shared stories of success and growth. The room echoed with laughter and applause as each award was presented, recognising the dedication and hard work of the local businesses that greatly contribute to the community.
Winning the ‘Charity and Social Enterprise Award’ was a moment of immense gratitude for us, as it marks our first award as a charity. A fantastic achievement for both us and the clinical team. The award, sponsored by St. Thomas’s Church and judged by Helen Taylor from Wiltshire Creative.
Helen expressed, in her speech “I was both impressed and moved by their energy, enthusiasm, strategy, vision, and their ability to show warmth and compassion even in difficult times.”
Paula Flower, Head of Fundraising, shared, “We are absolutely thrilled, and it is a wonderful thing we can share with our supporters, because we wouldn’t be here as a fundraising team without the support they give us”
This award win is a significant milestone for us, symbolising a momentous occasion in our charity’s history. Nikki Spicer, Chair of Trustees, extended a heartfelt “thank you” to the fundraising team for their unwavering commitment and hard work.
