Our wonderful supporter and volunteer Brian Ford is raising funds by taking on a mammoth 87 mile challenge! The challenge is to be completed by his 87th birthday on the 13th of September.
Brian began his challenge on the 14th of August giving him a month to get in his millage. He is walking a mixture of country and street paths wherever and whenever he can. Brian admirably is not counting the everyday steps he does around the house and is fully committed to making this quite the challenge.
He hopes that on his birthday he will feel up to taking on a further 8.7 miles on the day. He is raising sponsorship through a Facebook fundraising page and has an appropriate target of £870.
Brian is no stranger to a challenge or raising funds, he has even taken on a wing walk! He regularly participates in our Midnight Walk event and also volunteers for Salisbury Hospice Charity. He will be volunteering at our Hatch House, Garden Open event on the 11th of September.
