Like for so many, this past year has been incredibly tough for the Hospice Team. The enormity of the impact of the pandemic on end-of-life care for millions of patients and their families across the world is unfathomable.
Throughout lockdown and these extremely hard-hitting times, the team at Salisbury Hospice have worked tirelessly to continue to provide outstanding care for it patients and support for their families, carers and friends in their hours of need.
Not only have they done a fabulous job this past year, but 2021 marks a very special year for Salisbury Hospice as it celebrates 40 years of providing outstanding end-of-life care to its patients. In their hours of need, Salisbury Hospice has cared for up to 1000 patients and their families every year for the past 40 years that is an enormous 40,000 families in total.
As part of the Captain Tom 100 Challenge, the fundraising team at Salisbury Hospice Charity are taking on the ‘100 Thank You Challenge’ to show their appreciation for the hospice team and acknowledge their hard work and commitment.
Over the bank holiday weekend, the team will create 100 thank-you gestures for the Hospice Team. From handmade thank you cards and baked goods to flower posies and much more, the fundraising team will provide 100 thank you’s to show their appreciation for everything the hospice does in our community.
